WEBtech presented the hospital campaign with a cheque for $12,000 at the recent Corus Cares Radiothon. The money was raised through sales of blue hospital awareness bracelets.

5,000 of the blue wristbands were purchased by WEBtech to raise awareness for the Our Hospital, Our Future campaign. Several local businesses and organizations helped distribute the bracelets, which were sold for $2 each.

“We wanted to help the Foundation deliver their message to the community, and what better way than to have 5,000 people wearing a bracelet with the Foundation's website address?”said Peter Gault, owner of WEBtech.

"It was a true partnership between our company, the Foundation and over 20 local businesses who helped.", added Mr. Gault. "Special thanks must go to Connie Vardy and the Scotiabank team for matching the first $5,000 in funds raised!"

The bracelets can still be purchased at several local businesses, including the following locations:

  • The Aquatic Centre
  • AutoPak
  • Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Cornwall Civic Complex
