Dreams Really Do Come True!

The “Dreams Do Come True’ Wine & Cheese and Silent Auction held at NAV Canada on Saturday, December 9th, 2006 was a huge success. Honourary Chair, Mrs. Sherry Burke, welcomed the guests that evening. Event Co-Chairs, Bev Lapointe and Cathy Malyon and the committee members, organized a beautiful evening. This annual event, in support of the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation had a “Dream”; to raise enough funds to purchase urgently needed Stretcher Beds for the Emergency Unit. Thanks to the generosity of the guests and donors, the ‘Dreams Do Come True’ evening raised $33,823.68. The Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce it has recently purchased 7 new Stretcher Beds for the Emergency Unit with the funds raised from the event. Our thanks to everyone!

The Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation is committed to raising funds for much-needed hospital equipment. This continuous appeal will allow the Foundation to fulfill its mission of providing quality health care for the residents of our community.

Cornwall Community Hospital is a 170-bed acute care hospital operating on two sites in the city of Cornwall, located in Eastern Ontario along the St. Lawrence River. With a staff of over 1000 employees, Cornwall Community Hospital serves acute, in-patient, out-patient and community based clients. The hospital provides a wide range of medical specialties. Cornwall Community Hospital was incorporated in 2004 with the amalgamation of the Cornwall General Hospital and the acute care services of the Hotel Dieu Hospital, both with over 100 years of health care service to Cornwall and surrounding area. In 2006, the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation accredited Cornwall Community Hospital.
