SCM donates $50,000
Alan La Barge presents a cheque to Connie Vardy
SCM launched their support for the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation “Our Hospital, Our Future” Campaign last spring. A challenge was made to the team, if SCM achieved 90% staff enrollment in the payroll deduction plan in support of the local hospital Foundation from the 850+ team members, then several members of management and team members would have their heads shaved. The team loves a challenge and met the commitment ‘head on’! Thanks to the site matching program, SCM Team Members have recently presented the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation a cheque in the amount of $50,000. Together, the SCM Cornwall team continues to work towards achieving their goal of $250,000 while abiding by the motto: “Our Community, Our Responsibility, Our Hospital”. Thanks to all SCM employees, dedicated Team Members and Management Representatives for their recent donation and continued support.

The Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation is committed to raising funds for much-needed hospital equipment. This continuous appeal will allow the Foundation to fulfill its mission of providing quality health care for the residents of our community.

Cornwall Community Hospital is a 170-bed acute care hospital operating on two sites in the city of Cornwall, located in Eastern Ontario along the St. Lawrence River.
