Rock 101.9 & Benson Certified Auto Service to Host Charity BBQs in support of the CCHF
(June 15th, 2007 – Cornwall, ON) Corus Entertainment is proud to announce that Rock 101.9 and Benson Certified Auto Service will be hosting weekly charity barbecues in conjunction with the Rock 101.9 summer cruiser program in support of the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation!
Beginning Thursday June 21st, Rock 101.9 and Benson Certified Auto Service will kick-off the summer season with their first charity barbecue at Casey Mechanical – 920 Carleton Avenue. Each week for ten weeks, the Benson group will set-up their elaborate bright yellow barbecue trailer at a participating sponsor location joined by Rock 101.9 Community Cruiser Events Reporter - Meghan “Kya” Kyer. This outgoing crew will be serving up delicious hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments with all proceeds going to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation.
Hamburgers will sell for $3.00, hot dogs for $2.00 and drinks for $1.00. Everyone is welcome to attend and have a chance at winning some great prizes. Kya will also be registering listeners for the Rock 101.9 Workforce and handing out free Rock 101.9/Benson helium balloons for the kids! Rock 101.9 Program Director and Morning Show Host - Ross MacLeod says, “There is no greater cause that requires our support than the CCHF. We are thrilled to partner with Benson Certified Auto Service and our participating sponsors and we hope the community will support our efforts!”
