The 3rd Annual South Stormont Pond Hockey Tournament took place on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 on the frozen Bay at Farran Park. The Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that the fundraising efforts at this year’s event raised a total of $2,200 which will be divided between the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation and the Winchester and District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Although the weather was very cold, the committee would like to thank Connie Vardy for attending the event and helping during the official puck dropping ceremonies. The tournament was ruled a great success and the committee is looking forward to building the event in 2008.
The Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation is committed to raising funds for much-needed hospital equipment. This continuous appeal will allow the Foundation to fulfill its mission of providing quality health care for the residents of our community.
