Rock 101.9 & Benson Certified Auto Service to Host Charity BBQs in support of the CCHF

(June 16th, 2008 – Cornwall, ON) Corus Entertainment is proud to announce that Rock 101.9 and Benson Certified Auto Service will be hosting weekly charity barbecues in conjunction with the Rock 101.9 Summer Rock Ride in support of the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation!

Beginning Tuesday June 17th, Rock 101.9 and Benson Certified Auto Service will kick-off the summer season with their first charity barbecue at Benson Auto Parts – 1139 Brookdale Avenue. Each week for ten weeks, the Benson group will set-up their elaborate bright yellow barbecue trailer at a participating sponsor location joined by Rock 101.9 Summer Rock Ride Events Reporter – Jessica Brisebois. This outgoing crew will be serving up delicious hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments with all proceeds going to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation.

Buy a hamburger or hotdog with chips and drink for just $3.00. All funds raised will go towards life-saving medical equipment and supplies. Everyone is welcome to attend and have a chance at winning some great prizes including our weekly Summer Rock Ride prize packs and tickets to see Coldplay live in concert at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Jesse will also be registering listeners for the Rock 101.9 Workforce and handing out free limited edition “Early Show” beverage coolers!
